Jenny Waddell is Research Coordinator at NOAA’s Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary (OCNMS), where she oversees ecological research, seafloor mapping efforts, and assessment and monitoring programs for the sanctuary. Jenny collaborates with a variety of partners to implement OCNMS science programs, including staff from across NOAA and at other Federal agencies, State of Washington agency personnel, and tribal governments representing the four Coastal Treaty Tribes that have reserved treaty rights in the area. Jenny’s long career at NOAA has focused on providing scientific support for marine conservation programs, primarily for coral reef ecosystems and within National Marine Sanctuaries. Prior to joining NOAA in 2002 as a Knauss fellow, Jenny obtained a B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Natural Resources, and a masters degree from the University of Washington’s School of Marine and Environmental Affairs.
