Chris Basque is a Senior Engineering Assistant I within the Mooring Operations and Engineering group at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. His focus within the group leading back deck operations, ROV work, and engineering equipment, frames, clamps, etc. for science applications to create the best platform for collecting data. The science projects he works on span various types of goals such as biology, acoustics, mammal tracking, and many more. 

Chris received his Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire. From there he jumped right into the Mooring team in Woods Hole, where he travels to various ships working for scientists to deploy/recover mooring systems and other pieces of equipment to help them in their studies.
