Meredith Meyer is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of East Anglia (UK) in the Ocean Glider Group in the School of Environmental Sciences. She is an ocean biogeochemist whose work focuses mainly on evaluating primary production and carbon cycle processes. Much of Meredith’s research focuses on polar regions, but this will be her first cruise to the Bellingshausen, and she is excited to venture into a new region of the Southern Ocean.

Meredith has a BS in Environmental Science and Policy and Environmental Geology from the College of William & Mary (US) and a PhD in Marine Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (US). Meredith also worked as a laboratory technician at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (US) for a few years which sparked her interest in polar oceanography.
