I’m an ecophysiologist with a strong interest in the deep sea.
I did my PhD at the Roscoff biological station (France) where I worked on the respiration and thermal resistance of several species of deep-sea hydrothermal vents scale worms. I’ve performed pressurized experiments and dissections to study the respiratory pigments of these polynoidae in greater detail.
I’ve already been on board twice, the first time on the Atlantic ridge from Lucky Strike to Snake Pit (Transect) and the second time in the western Pacific, in the back-arc basins between Fiji and Tonga (Chubacarc). This will be my first time on the Est Pacific Ridge and with an international team so I’m very enthusiastic about seeing new sites and their endemic species and working with new people.
