Tomer is a hydrographer and marine geoscientist affiliated with the Department of Geology at the Israeli National Institute for Oceanography. Tomer received a Category A hydrographer’s diploma from the Ocean Mapping program at the University of New Hampshire. Tomer also holds a B.Sc in Marine and Environmental sciences from Michmoret School of Marine Sciences, and a M.Sc in Marine Geo-Sciences from the Charney School of Marine Sciences, University of Haifa (2013).¬†Tomer is interested in various acoustical and optical applications for bathymetry, detection and mapping of gas seeps, geohazards, coastal processes and more. If he is not onboard a ship, he can probably be found wandering on a mountain with or without a camera of some sort.
