Riannon Colton is a third year undergraduate Earth & Atmospheric Sciences major at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She participates in research with focuses in geophysics, planetary science, and oceanography. Her past research experiences include working in Dr. Ken Ferrier’s lab on tectonic influences on the chemical erosion rate of mountains and working in Dr. Brian Gunter’s lab on the Ranging and Nanosatellite Guidance Experiment (RANGE) Mission. RANGE is a student team working on remotely sensing topography of planetary bodies to high precision from a CubeSat platform using a LiDAR instrument. Riannon’s hobbies include hiking, backpacking, SCUBA diving, and anything that has to do with the outdoors
