Pei-Wen Jin, an independent fashion designer and researcher based in Taipei, Taiwan, is driven by a strong passion for sustainable fashion. Her active collaborations with various organizations revolve around projects that promote circular design principles and her valuable contributions to research in the field.
Beyond her design work, Pei-Wen actively shares her knowledge and expertise through organizing upcycling workshops and delivering engaging lectures at different institutions.
Her area of expertise lies in zero-waste pattern cutting, where she has developed innovative methods to minimize waste and create fashion that is more environmentally-friendly. Her achievements include earning an invention patent in Taiwan and receiving recognition as the runner-up winner in the prestigious global sustainable fashion competition, Redress Design Award in 2021. Notably, she has also been honored as a finalist for the 2023 iD Emerging Designer Award.
Pei-Wen is deeply committed to advancing the circular reuse of textile waste and contributing to the establishment of sustainable practices within the fashion industry through her ongoing research.
