Pamela is from Argentina, and her research work has focused on studying the diversity and reproduction of deep-sea starfish. She has participated in several expeditions in the South Atlantic, primarily working with samples from a submarine canyon. Describing a new genus and some species has been part of her work. She participated in the biodiversity survey in the Namuncurá – Banco Burdwood marine protected area, whose book has recently been published, and in which she is a co-author. During 2024, she took part in the Arctic expedition and the Ocean Census workshop. In recent years, she has been involved in ecological projects, also working as a professor at the University of Mar del Plata.
