Nadín Ramírez is an Oceanographer dedicated to work in the Center for Oceanographic Instrumentation in the University of Concepción, Chile, with focus on enhancing the accessibility on scientific equipment, calibrating oceanographic sensors and developing new technologies for ocean exploration. During the last years the exploration under the umbrella of the Millenium Institute of Oceanography, Chile worked on the development of a free fall vehicle to facilitate the sampling of the hadal depths.

Boasting more than 15 years working on marine operations, handling and installing instrumentation, piloting autonomous underwater vehicles (Ocean gliders), designing and installing oceanographic moorings and working to design new technologies. Recently he has been actively involved on the deployment of the first deep ocean observatory in the Atacama trench with the installation of equipment at almost 8000m, including oceanographic moorings, lander deployments and water sampling.
