Michelle is an undergraduate student at the University of Hawaii at Hilo working towards a Bachelor of Science and a minor in Computer Science. Michelle is focusing on marine sciences, currently aiding Erica Goetze and Michelle Jungbluth with the collection of plankton samples in Kaneohe Bay, and imaging field-collected phytoplankton using epifluorescence microscopy. Michelle has also assisted David Itano at the NOAA’s Sustainable Fisheries Department with the collection of otolith samples.
