Michelle Graco is a Biologist and holds a Doctorate in Oceanography from the University of ConcepciĆ³n and Paris VI University. She currently serves as the Coordinator of Research at the Chemical and Geology Oceanography Department at IMARPE. Additionally, she is a professor at the Master of Marine Sciences program at the University Cayetano Heredia (UPCH). Her research expertise lies in biogeochemistry, with a specific focus on coastal marine areas and upwelling ecosystems, particularly within the Humboldt current system. In recent years, she has dedicated her efforts to studying marine stressors, including acidification, and has contributed to the development of low-cost sensors for environmental monitoring. She has actively participated in numerous interdisciplinary research projects at both national and international levels. She is a member of the REMARCO network, further emphasizing her commitment to collaborative research efforts. Michelle’s passion for exploration and discovery drives her excitement to be part of the Nasca Dorsal expedition.
