Dr. Mariana Ribas Ribas is a chemical oceanographer with research interests at carbon and carbonate cycling across aquatic systems including coastal ecosystems (estuaries and continental margins) and polar region with particular emphasis on the exchange of CO2 with the atmosphere and on the coupling between inorganic carbon dynamics and biological processes.
Dr. Ribas-Ribas received a Master in Biodiversity and Ecosystems at University of Vigo and a Ph.D. in Chemical Oceanography from University of Cádiz. She worked as a postdoctoral research associate at University of Southampton before moving to University of Oldenburg in 2014.
