Doctoral student Maialen G. Ardusso is developing her doctoral project at the Argentine Institute of Oceanography (IADO), Bahía Blanca (Argentina), as a member of the Transition Environments Chemistry Research Group (GIQAT), with a doctoral scholarship from the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET). Her work focuses on studying microplastic dynamics in coastal environments, examining different matrices: water, sediment, and biomonitor organisms. She has also participated in several oceanographic campaigns, where she studied microplastic dynamics in the open sea across different matrices and learned sampling techniques for nutrient, metal, and zooplankton analysis.
