Lucía is an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) – Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales (FCEN). She is a member of the Laboratory of Biology of Marine Invertebrates (DBBE, UBA). She is currently involved in a project that focuses on the reproductive features of marine mollusks. The study involves the use of histological techniques to examine the structure and function of reproductive tissues, with the goal of understanding how environmental factors influence reproductive cycles and strategies in these ecologically important species.
The Falkor (too) expedition: “Life in Extremes – Cold Seeps of Argentina” will be her first oceanographic research cruise, and she is very excited to collaborate with such an interdisciplinary team.
