Dr. Lisa Kirkendale is the Head of Aquatic Zoology and Curator of Molluscs at the Western Australian Museum. She is interested in the evolution, biogeography, phylogenetics and diversity of molluscs. She continues to be both excited and frightened by the scale of Western Australia, a theatre albeit that well utilizes her experience in both temperate and tropical systems. A dive into deep sea research is a new frontier for her and she is excited to share the experience with students and others, and to find chemosymbiotic marine bivalves, if she is lucky!
