Kristen Fogaren is a Ph.D. candidate in the Oceanography Department at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She received her B.S. in geology from Boston College and graduated with an M.S. in oceanography from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Her research focuses on biogeochemical cycling of carbon and nutrients in permeable nearshore sediments. Outside of work, you will find her swimming, biking and running.
