Esther is a sedimentologist with interests in experimental and numerical modeling of sediment dynamics, measuring the dynamics of active field-scale flows, and conducting field studies of the products emplaced by submarine sediment-laden flows in both modern and ancient clastic environments. During this cruise she is particularly interested in studying major seafloor features e.g. canyons on the Campeche Escarpment that result from sedimentary processes. Link to personal web page.
