Diego Droguett Valenzuela is an undergrade student of Marine Biology. He is currently working on his undergraduate thesis, which focuses on the study of the composition of the benthic macrofauna of a fjord in Chilean Patagonia, and its relationship with sediment geochemistry. Since last year, Diego has assisted in the research of the Observation Program for Terrestrial and Aquatic Ecosystems (POETA), at the San Ignacio del Huinay Foundation.

Diego is in his last year as a marine biology student at University of Valparaiso. The “Fire and Ice: volcanic and glaciar interaction” will be his first scientific cruise, and he is excited to contribute to the research and learn from the other scientists aboard.
