Colombina Valdés Valenzuela is a marine biologist from the Austral University of Chile and is part of the Laboratory of Biological Oceanography (LOCEB) at the same institution. Her career has focused on high-latitude research within the Center for the Dynamics of High Latitude Marine Ecosystems (IDEAL), aiming to understand the effects of climate change in Antarctic and sub-Antarctic regions. She has experience in analyzing plankton communities and primary productivity within marine ecosystems.
