Brandon D’Andrea is an undergraduate student and researcher at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He developed an interest in coastal physical oceanography through his work at He’eia Fishpond with Dr. McManus and Dr. Ruttenberg. His research focuses on understanding flow patterns and other physical characteristics within the pond through an ongoing series of monthly monitoring efforts.
Currently, Brandon is in his final year of completing a B.S. in global environmental science at UH. He is hoping to attend graduate school immediately thereafter, and is very excited about the opportunity to work onboard Falkor during this student cruise.
