Ana Clavere-Graciette is a second year PhD student in Dr. Montoya’s lab at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. She is currently studying the impact of releases of oil and gas in the Gulf of Mexico at natural hydrocarbon seeps using nitrogen and carbon stable isotopes. Her work focuses on the incorporation of hydrocarbons from cold seeps into the planktonic food web.

Before joining Dr. Montoya’s lab, Ana received a Master’s degree in Oceanography and Marine Environments from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie, and studied the effect of nitrogen fixation in the Southwest Pacific planktonic food web.
