Gino Zamborlini was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is currently completing his Bachelor’s degree in Geological Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires, and this expedition forms part of his undergraduate thesis project.
Since childhood, he has been curious about how things around him work. Over time, that curiosity developed into a genuine interest in science, eventually leading him to study geology. During his studies, he has focused on hydrogeology and environmental topics, exploring the relationship and dynamics of groundwater with subsurface rocks and how this interaction affects the surrounding environment. He has also participated in science outreach activities at the university and in urban flooding studies in Buenos Aires—experiences that have helped him appreciate the importance of connecting science with everyday life.
He currently works as an administrative assistant at an IT company, where he has developed strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
