Valeria Naranjo-Aguilar is an advanced biology student at the University of Costa Rica. Her research interests include molecular biology, ecology, and neurobiology, as well as the importance of scientific divulgation. Valeria ventures into the micobial and microbial world associated with the epiphyte carnivorous plant Utricularia jamsoniana and, in the realm of neurobiology, she works with traumatic memory and behavior. As Valeria anticipates boarding the Falkor, she envisions not just a scientific expedition but a transformative experience where she can contribute to marine research and expand her knowledge horizons.
