Tomer is a hydrographer and marine geoscientist affiliated with the Department of Geology at the Israeli National Institute for Oceanography. Tomer received a Category A hydrographer’s diploma from the Ocean Mapping program at the University of New Hampshire. Tomer also holds a B.Sc in Marine and Environmental sciences from Michmoret School of Marine Sciences, and a M.Sc in Marine Geo-Sciences from the Charney School of Marine Sciences, University of Haifa (2013). Tomer is interested in various acoustical and optical applications for bathymetry, detection and mapping of gas seeps, geohazards, coastal processes and more. If he is not onboard a ship, he can probably be found wandering on a mountain with or without a camera of some sort.
