I am an oceanographer with a Master’s and PhD in Environmental Oceanography from Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (Vitória, Brazil). I spent five years working as a technical coordinator on a major environmental monitoring project following an environmental disaster on the southeast coast of Brazil. I have been working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Marine Geosciences Laboratory (LaboGeo/UFES) for the past three years, conducting research involving carbonate environments and habitat mapping. I have a keen interest in science communication and in applying scientific knowledge to the development of public management documents.
