Sally Jarmusz is a junior at Maine Maritime Academy studying for her Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and an Associate’s Degree in Small Vessel Operations with a minor in Sail Training. Additionally, she is working towards becoming an AAUS certified Scientific Diver. She hopes to combine her love of marine science, boating, and diving through a career working on research vessels. Her current research interests include glaciology, oceanography, and marine geology.
Sally has served as crew aboard the Schooner Eastwind, the tour boat Merrymeeting, and is currently the student 2nd Mate on the Schooner Bowdoin. She is extremely grateful for her first cruise experience with the science team aboard the R/V Falkor on their mapping expedition from Apia, Samoa to Honolulu, Hawaii. She is eager to learn everything she can about the scientific operations and research processes on board.
