Luis Quipúzcoa is the coordinator responsible for the Marine Benthos Laboratory of the Instituto del Mar del Perú. He is a graduate of the Universidad Particular Ricardo Palma – Faculty of Biological Sciences and has a Master’s degree in Aquatic Resources from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, with extensive experience in field work, navigation and scientific research related to soft bottom benthic communities.
Scientific collaborator in different research projects related to upwelling, coastal edge, El Niño Southern Oscillation, climate change, among others. His interest is to contribute to the knowledge and understanding of the diversity and ecology in deep marine habitats of the Nazca Ridge.
