Luca Marino is a PhD student of the “Marine Sciences, Technology and Management” doctorate course at the University of Milano – Bicocca, Italy. In the field of marine geomorphology, his main interests lie in marine habitat mapping and habitat restoration projects. By combining acoustic remote sensing datasets with semi-automated Object-Based Image Analysis techniques he specializes on geomorphological analyses in function of site selection guidance in restoration projects. Luca has also been involved in projects devoted to assess the impact of turbidity currents in submarine canyons through the analysis of their geomorphological expressions.
