Kyle is a ROPOS subsea navigation technician with Highland Technologies/Canadian Scientific Submersible Facility. His position on the cruise involves providing navigation assistance to pilots, and technical assistance to the crew. While providing communications between the ship’s bridge and pilots, Kyle is also responsible for plotting waypoints, noting subsea features, and assisting with mobilization/demobilization of the submersible’s computer systems.
Kyle completed his computer engineering degree, and has a background in mechanics from the military.
