Jill Brouwer is currently studying the effect of ocean acidification on mussel sperm-egg interactions for her Honours degree at the University of Western Australia. She is interested in multidisciplinary research involving chemistry and marine science. She has also undertaken some work in seafloor mapping and acoustics, and is hoping to do further study in this field. This cruise to the submarine canyons off SW Australia aboard the RV Falkor will be her third oceanographic expedition, having previously completed two voyages on board the CSIRO research vessel, RV Investigator.
