Gemma Rushton recently completed her undergraduate in Natural Environment and Wilderness through the University of Tasmania, majoring in geography and ecology. She has an interest in nature conservation, particularly in seabird and shorebird populations and their habitat. She will be affiliated with BirdLife Australia on the Pinging in the New Year expedition.
