Elio J. Challita is a Schmidt Science Fellow and postdoctoral researcher at the Harvard Microrobotics Laboratory. He earned his PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology, his MS from the University of Georgia, and his BE from the Lebanese American University. His research bridges biophysics, smart materials, and micro- and field-robotics, combining fieldwork in the Amazon rainforest, Central America, and the Atlantic Ocean with bioinspired robotic development. He was selected as an Explorers Club 50 Fellow class of 2026.
