
David Correa is a physicist associated with the Peruvian Institute of Marine Research (IMARPE). He specializes in the dynamics of the Peruvian coastal upwelling, marine meteorology, and related processes. He has contributed to the project “Adaptation to Climate Change of the Fishery Sector and the Marine-Coastal Ecosystem of Peru,” which was funded by the Inter-American Development Bank. This project involved the acquisition and management of gliders for measuring oceanographic variables off the coast of Peru. Furthermore, Correa has expertise in oceanographic and atmospheric numerical modeling. He has previously worked at the Meteorology and Hydrology National Service (SENAMHI) and the Center for Oceanographic and Fisheries Biological Modeling Research at IMARPE. He holds a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering and Information Technologies from Universidad Católica Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo (USAT) in Peru. Currently, he is a doctoral student in Systems Engineering and Informatics at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Peru. Correa also possesses international certification as an associate programmer from MathWorks INC in the USA, specializing in Matlab software.
