Dan Strawser is a PhD student in the Mechanical Engineering Department at MIT focusing on planning under uncertainty. He works in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL) under the supervision of Professor Brian C. Williams. His focus for this mission is the FOX planner (Fast Obstacle eXploration). FOX is a motion planner that can take into account more complex environments and agent dynamics than previous methods and produce risk-aware plans more quickly.
