Andres Joshua (A.J) Reyes received his B.A in Biology from the University of Guam in 2008. AJ’s research focuses on merging marine science and cultural knowledge in the Marianas Islands.   He began his research career at University of Guam Marine Laboratory, where he is now employed. Currently, he is assessing benthic marine biodiversity throughout Guam including corals, marcophytes, crustaceans, and fishes. Andres has also worked for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as a fisheries biologist. In his spare time, AJ enjoys diving, spearfishing, and exploring the hidden treasures of the Marianas through culture and scientific knowledge. AJ supports efforts to preserve, protect, and manage the natural resources he enjoys so much.
