Jennifer completed her undergraduate degree in Oceanography at the University of Southampton in 2013.  She is currently studying ocean wave sources of seismic noise for her doctorate degree.  For the last few months, Jennifer has been looking at directional characteristics of a very low frequency noise component, which is caused by the interaction of oceanic infragravity waves with the seafloor.  As she moves into her second year as a PhD student, Jennifer will be trying to understand how microseismic noise at higher frequencies relate to sea and swell conditions in ocean basins.
