Claire completed her BSc in Marine Biology and Coastal Management at the University of Western Australia (UWA) in 2012 and received a first class honours for her research on high latitude coral calcification rates at Rottnest Island in 2013. Shortly after, Claire worked with her honours supervisors, Winthrop Professor Malcolm McCulloch and Assistant Professor Jim Falter for 1 year as a research assistant at The Advanced Geochemical Facility for Indian Ocean Research, UWA. Claire is currently a PhD candidate at UWA and is researching the environmental and biological controls on the growth and physiology of high latitude corals at their extreme geographical limits in the southwest region of WA.
