I am a postgraduate researcher in Physical Oceanography at the University of East Anglia, UK. My research interests lie in the physical oceanography of the Southern Ocean, with a particular focus on ice shelf meltwater, ocean circulation, tides, and mixing. I am interested in using ship-based observations and autonomous platforms to improve our understanding of the processes that shape polar oceans and their role in the climate system. I completed an MSc in Ocean and Climate Physics at the University of Hamburg, Germany.Alongside my research, I have over 18 months of experience as an Assistant Seaglider Technician, preparing Seagliders for field missions through maintenance, refits, sensor integration, ballasting, and the setup of microstructure systems for turbulence measurements. My seagoing experience included CTD and Vertical Microstructure Profiler (VMP) operations, oxygen sampling, SeaExplorer troubleshooting, Seaglider piloting and supporting deployment and recovery of autonomous platforms. I enjoy combining ship-based observations with autonomous technologies to better understand the physical processes that shape the ocean.
