Artist and early-career scientist with over ten years of experience in illustration and design. Committed to an interdisciplinary approach to marine conservation, he creates art to foster public interest in science. He received his Bachelor’s from the Slade School of Fine Art in 2011 and his M.A.S. in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from SIO in 2021. Accomplished in various media, he uses both hand drawing and digital software to produce natural history plates, scientific figures, and art installations. He is currently collaborating with the Choy Lab on comparative studies of the gastrointestinal anatomy of mesopelagic and bathypelagic fishes. In the context of trophic ecology, this study examines how deep-sea ecological gradients relate to morphological adaptations in midwater fishes.
