Pilar Quinteros (Chile, 1988). Grew up in the south or Chile, now lives and works in Basel, Switzerland.  Bachelor of Arts from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (2011), studying the MA of Arts at  Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst Basel FHNW.  

In her work she combines drawing, volume, performance and video, all media that allow her to  investigate themes related to history, notions of “reality” and transformations of specific contexts.  Winner of AMA Scholarship 2018 for a residency at Gasworks, London; special mention of the  jury at the 31st Biennial of Graphic Arts of Slovenia (2015); finalist of the Future Generation Art  Prize 2014 and winner of the Jean-Claude Reynal Scholarship 2012 (French Foundation and the  Museum of Fine Arts in Bordeaux).  

Quinteros exhibited her work in places such as 18. Istanbul Biennial (2025, Istanbul, Turkey); Folkestone  Triennial (2021, Folkestone, UK); 34ºMDQ Film Fest (2019, Mar del Plata, Argentina); Kusthaus Pasquart  (Biel, Switzerland, 2018); 2017 California-Pacific Triennial – Building as Ever (Newport Beach, California,  USA); 32nd São Paulo Biennial – Live Uncertainty (São Paulo, Brazil, 2016); 31st Biennial of Graphic Arts  – Over You-You (Ljubljana, Slovenia, 2015); PinchukArtCentre (Kiev, Ukraine, 2014); National Museum of  Fine Arts Santiago, Chile, 2013); Museum of Contemporary Art (Santiago, Chile, 2010), among others.  

She was also co-founder of the MICH Collective (International Museum of Chile, 2010-2019) and LA  CUMBIA art collective with filmmaker Patricio Blanche (2020-2024).
