Paola Dávila is currently an Associate Researcher at the Servicio de Hidrografía Naval (Argentine Naval Hydrographic Service), under the Ministry of Defense in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Atmospheric and Ocean Sciences, Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, University of Buenos Aires. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Antofagasta, Chile, where she worked for over 12 years.

Her research focuses on physical oceanography, particularly in the analysis of water masses, and coastal and open-ocean dynamics in the Southwestern Atlantic and Southeastern Pacific Oceans. She works with in situ data, satellite observations, and reanalysis products from oceanographic and atmospheric models. She has participated in oceanographic expeditions, gaining hands-on experience with CTDs, current meters, and water sampling. In the upcoming research expedition, she will contribute to the acquisition and analysis of LADCP data and the interpretation of satellite imagery of oceanographic variables.

She is an active member of regional scientific networks and has contributed to international collaborations in ocean sciences.

Dávila, holds a degree in Physical Oceanography from the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) and a Doctorate in Oceanography from the University of Concepción, Chile.
