Fabio Colman is an Environmental Information Specialist with over 20 years of professional experience in the Argentine Navy and the Naval Hydrographic Service, under the Ministry of Defense. His career has focused on environmental management, hydrographic and bathymetric data collection and processing, and participation in scientific and Antarctic expeditions.

He has extensive experience working on the deck of oceanographic vessels and is currently preparing an oceanographic buoy to be deployed during the upcoming A Tale of Two Submarine Canyons expedition aboard the R/V Falkor (too). He has held key technical and coordination roles, including oversight of the Argentine Oceanographic Data Center and the Río de la Plata Flood Prevention Center. He has contributed to national and international research projects and has represented his institution in official capacities. His skills span scientific logistics, oceanographic instrumentation, ice observation, and institutional liaison work.

He also has teaching experience, serving as an Auxiliary Military Instructor in oceanographic instrumentation at the National Defense University. His academic background includes a Licentiate in Environmental Administration and a University Technician degree in Environmental Information from the National University of Luján, along with a technical certification in oceanography from the Argentine Navy.

He has participated in multiple Antarctic Summer Campaigns aboard the ARA Almirante Irízar and conducted scientific support activities on the research vessel Puerto Deseado. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to operational discipline, teamwork, and institutional cooperation.
