Fritz Schiller is finishing his master thesis at the University Oldenburg and the DZMB. His research field are the meiofauna communities, in shelf seas so as in the deep sea, using morphological and genetic analyses.

Fritz received his B.Sc. in biology from Oldenburg University and is now at the end of his M. Sc at Oldenburg University. He works for a company, Integrated Environmental Solutions (INES) in Wilhelmshaven, to analyze meiofauna samples from the CCZ (Clarion Clipperton Zone).

After two cruises to the CCZ, he is experienced with the work on board, and sampling deep sea meiofauna. He is excited to see how the meiofauna communities differ in the south Pacific, and how different habitats are affecting these communities.
