Amalia Valdivieso is an undergraduate student in the geology degree at the University of Chile. She is currently in her fifth year and is working alongside Rodrigo Fernández, Sion Moraga, and Marianne Heberlein on projects involving sedimentary cores from Patagonia and Antarctica. On this expedition, she is interested in sedimentology work and aims to gain knowledge in other areas such as marine geology and geophysics.
This is her first experience working on a research cruise, and she is very excited to work on this project, learning from the various study groups involved.
