Beatriz Naranjo (she/her/ella)
Title and Institution: Marine Biologist, University of Costa Rica
Beatriz Naranjo-Elizondo is a marine biologist who has been working as a researcher in deep-sea-related projects at the University of Costa Rica since 2020, the same institution where she completed her undergraduate studies in Biology. Her main interest is to explore how to improve scientific and educational capacities using technological tools, combining her scientific career with studies she has carried out in the areas of Science Communication and Public Engagement (The University of Edinburgh), and Full-Stack web development. She is part of Pelagos Okéanos, a Costa Rican organization dedicated to combining science, technology and art to involve society with the ocean.
