Capt. Heiko has since 1989 worked in many different fields of the maritime industry, ranging from Coast Guard, via Container Ships, Expedition Cruise Ships and Super Yachts to Research Vessels.
He operated in all parts of the world including in very remote places such as Arctic, Antarctic and South Pacific.
Besides the seagoing experiences he has vast experiences in shipyard refits and new builds and as well in the maritime management field (ISM/ISPS Management, Financial Management, Crewing, Purchasing & Logistics Management).
R/V Falkor is the 5th vessel that Heiko has taken command of as Captain.
