Lindsey Howard is an undergraduate student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa studying geology and geophysics. She moved to Hawaii four years ago from Washington State to pursue a degree in oceanography, but happened to fall in love with the geology of the Hawaiian Islands and decided to follow that path instead. She will be graduating in fall 2014 and plans to continue her education with an interest in volcanology or geophysics.

She has a passion for the outdoors, both land and sea. The Department of Geology and Geophysics has presented her with many amazing opportunities to learn hands on about the geology of the Hawaiian Islands and the importance of working with others from around the world to better understand and protect the earth we live on. She is very grateful for the opportunity to work with fellow scientist aboard the Falkor.
