R/V Falkor (too) Sails Across The North Atlantic On A Calm Day.

R/V Falkor (too) carries a standard suite of meteorological sensors and radiometers allowing it to measure a broad range of weather and sunlight variables. All data is recorded and is available as part of the standard data distribution.

The combination meteorological sensor is located on the foremast.

Mast top sensors are located at ~19.9 meters above waterline
Foremast sensors are ~11.8 meters above waterline
- Radiometers (PAR, Standard Precision Pyranometer, and Precision Infrared Radiometer)
- MET sensors (wind, RH, temperature, and precipitation)

Underway seawater data include sea surface temperature, salinity, conductivity (Sea-Bird Electronics model 45 thermosalinograph), pH (Sunburst Sensors AFT-pH), transmissivity (WET Labs C-Star transmissometer), and fluorescence (WET Labs ECO-FLS).
