Russell Coffield is the Lead Supervisor on the Subastian ROV, Starting his engineering career with Johnston controls looking after fire protection systems for the Royal Air force and military bases in Scotland then moving into an offshore career in the sub-sea telecommunications sector as a Cable Engineer in 1999, He has held a Certified Technician and engineering Technician certification for the last 16 years, he has been involved in a variety of projects including Renewable energy / Science and marine Geo-technical projects where he has been involved in the development / manufacture and operation of a number of ROVs / AUVs / Drilling Equipment and Cable deployment machinery. Russell also volunteers for the MATE program and STEM learning during his free time.
